Share with a caregiver like you in an understanding, one-on-one, peer mentor relationship

Peer Mentor Support Program

Our Peer Mentor Support Program gives you the opportunity to connect with another caregiver who understands what it is like to care for a wounded, ill or injured loved one or friend. To form a supportive relationship with a trained Peer Mentor who “gets it” — even when there are no words to express your feelings.

Peer Mentors are vetted caregivers who possess the knowledge and training to support others ready to share their story. They are good listeners who offer compassion, understanding and information through confidential, convenient, one-on-one connection, by phone, chat, text or email — whichever is the most comfortable way for you to share.

Whether your world has changed suddenly, you are navigating recovery or you now wrestling with long-term challenges — a Peer Mentor can help you to realize that you are not alone, that you are not the only one, and that there is hope.

“Being able to tell someone something that sounds awful, but is just how you are feeling, without them questioning your devotion, judging your sanity or condemning your choices is like the most amazing form of instant bonding!”

“Peer Mentoring is my way of “paying it forward.” Being able to support, encourage and companion another caregiver the way that others have done for me, is such privilege.”
